Our Levigated Pearl Powder is a nano-sized micropowder made from freshwater pearls. It is mechanically ground (not chemically processed) and tested for heavy metals.

Are these freshwater or saltwater pearls?

Freshwater. Not saltwater.

The powder settles at the bottom, is that normal?

Yes. Pearl powder is primarily calcium-based and does not fully dissolve like a protein powder would. Some settling is normal. To get the best dispersion, mix it into hot (just below boiling) water and stir well. It is levigated (very finely ground), not hydrolyzed.

Is the Pearl Powder tested for heavy metals?

Yes. The Certificate of Analysis covers heavy metals (lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium) and is in our public CoA library. See our Certificates of Analysis article, or email hello@naviorganics.uk for the latest CoA.

Is it classified as a "nanomaterial" for cosmetics formulation?

Our Pearl Powder is super-finely ground and the particle size is close to nano-sized. We do not market or classify it as a "nanomaterial". If you are formulating a cosmetic product, "nanomaterial" labelling depends on the legal definition and the measured particle size in your finished formulation. We recommend confirming this against your regulatory criteria. Please email hello@naviorganics.uk if you would like to discuss.

Who is your producer?

Our supplier relationship is proprietary and we do not share producer details.

Can Pearl Powder help with [a specific condition]?

We are not able to advise on specific health conditions. Please see our product safety article and consult a qualified holistic practitioner for personalised guidance.
