We include silica sachets in some of our dehydrated products to prevent clumping. These are manufactured and approved for use in foods. Over the years, we have become aware that some customers are concerned about these sachets being included in their powders.

It is worth noting that silica is non-toxic and a 100% natural compound found all around us in nature. Silica makes up over a quarter of the planet's crust and can be found in most rocks, clays and sands, including emerald, quartz, clay and glass.

It is common practice to include sachets of silica granules in dehydrated powders which do not have added humectants. As we choose to only supply 100% pure ingredient powders with no humectants or additives of any kind, our dehydrated powders are highly hygroscopic. It is for this reason that we include the silica sachets to help absorb any moisture from the environment that would otherwise cause our powders to clump.
